Jane Urquhart purchased Tritchayne Farm Cottages in 2015 and felt she was the luckiest person in the world. One mile from Colyton off the Umborne Road, the cottages are converted farm buildings (The Old Dairy sleeping four, the Bull Pen sleeping three, the Calf Pen sleeping four and the romantic Hay Loft sleeping two) all nestled around a courtyard with lots of pots and plants and communal seating and dining for those families who take more than one cottage.
Jane has enjoyed upgrading the interiors, the linens and the furniture and furnishings offering comfortable and quiet accommodation, each with its own log burner, private little garden and a barbecue. Dogs are welcome in all cottages but the Hayloft with a bottle of wine and a small hamper offer a special welcome.
With Jane’s love of wildlife and gardening, there are extensive grounds to explore with a pond and recently planted fruit trees with benches to sit and enjoy the environment of blue skies and the wondrous night time stars of East Devon. What a treat!
