Owners Becs and Sarah Hudson would like to offer you a warm welcome to Tritchayne Farm Cottages, our self-catering holiday cottages in the picturesque East Devon countryside.The cottages sit around a pretty courtyard surrounded by beautiful gardens in an area of outstanding natural beauty, three miles from the Jurassic Coast and one mile from the historic rebel town of Colyton with its range of shops, pubs and electric tramway to Seaton and the seaside!
Tritchayne Farm Cottages consists of five self-catering holiday cottages each with their own fenced garden area and shared access to beautiful gardens and grounds and a glasshouse set up as a dining room. Each cottage can be booked individually, sleeping 2 to 5 persons, or together, offering flexible accommodation for groups of up to 18 people seeking a unique venue for their gathering or celebration.
The Old Barn has a spacious feel with high beamed ceilings, 3 bedrooms downstairs and upstairs open plan kitchen/diner/lounge affording lovely views of the pond and gardens. Sleeps 5 in 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single with 2 bathrooms.
The Old Dairy has a lovely traditional cottage feel with a spacious lobby area perfect for dog owners and the advantage of being on one level with no steps inside or out. Sleeps 4 in 1 double, 1 twin with 2 bathrooms.
The Calf Pen is an attractive, bright and airy cottage perfect for two couples or a family, with the flexibility to set up with two doubles or a double and a twin. Sleeps 4 in 1 double, 1 twin/double with 1 bathroom.
The Bull Pen is a luxurious cottage for two with a large, bright open plan living area. There is a spacious bedroom with king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with double bath. Sleeps 2/3 in 1 double with single sofa bed and ensuite bathroom.
The Hay Loft is a cosy comfortable romantic retreat for two with beautiful views of the grounds. This cottage has hosted both marriage proposals and honeymoons (proposals not guaranteed!). Sleeps 2 in 1 double with 1 bathroom.
The cottage grounds are a lovely place to relax and recharge the batteries. The highlight is the beautiful mature pond area which you can enjoy from the comfort of the decking area or glasshouse. Next to the pond is a small newly planted orchard and herb and flower garden, another tranquil place to sit and soak up the calm and peace of the countryside. Guests are welcome to help themselves to produce from the garden. A large field with amazing views of the Coly Valley is perfect for family games and dog walks.
Tritchayne Farm Cottages is an ideal location for a gathering of family or friends allowing groups to holiday together but maintain personal space to retreat to if needed! There are two large dining areas perfect for groups who want to all eat together. The al fresco option in the courtyard or the indoor option in the glasshouse for up to 20 people.
Our full week breaks typically run Saturday to Saturday but please enquire about short breaks or any other requests.
