Note: If you are planning to come to the Landscape Detectives workshop at Umborne Village Hall (17/7/18, 10.30am – 3.30 pm) – and are coming via A35 … please note the section of road to Shute from A35 (Taunton Cross) to Shute Barton gatehouse is shut for road works – 16 July – 17 August
Use Pacehayne Lane – it is narrow with few passing places – exercise caution! drive safe – (please avoid using Haddon Road from Kilmington, it is very potholed near Shute School and busy with school traffic at 3.30)
If coming please bring;
picnic lunch, water bottle, (hot and cold drinks available at hall), camera or camera on phone, notebook and pencil, sun hats, walking sticks/poles, long trousers tucked in and stout walking boots
and any historic material relating to the Umborne landscape for display, that may be of interest
